What is WE-EMPOWER
Funded by the European Union’s ERASMUS+ programme, WE-EMPOWER is a transnational initiative dedicated to empowering migrant women and gender non-conforming individuals to actively participate in Europe’s civic and democratic life through education, advocacy, and community engagement.
Research
Conducting a comprehensive study and survey on migrant women’s democratic participation across Europe, this research identifies barriers, opportunities, and best practices, offering insights to develop resources and advocacy tools that enhance their inclusion in civic and political life.
Toolkit
Equiping teachers, trainers, and adult education organisations with practical tools and methods to empower and encourage migrant women to actively participate in democratic life across Europe.
Treasure Box
Offering practical tools and insights on different communication strategies to help educators and organisations encourage and support migrant women in actively participating in Europe’s democratic processes.
Over 500 migrant women from across seven European countries have participated in WE-EMPOWER training and contributed to research and resource creation.
