Written by Laura Albu and Silvia Dumitrache from Romanian Women’s Lobby (RoWL) in Italy, this paper sheds light on the state of migrant women’s participation in political and democratic life in Italy. The research is based on desktop analysis (including national/Eurostat data) and surveys with specific stakeholders, including migrant women, experts, and decision-makers.
The papers are intended to provide the project partners with a clearer picture of the extent to which migrant women are represented in decision-making at different levels and develop strategies to overcome some of the challenges to participation. They can also be used to inform civil society representatives and decision-makers who are interested to enhance the participation of migrant women.
The study is available in Italian, Romanian and English, and the factsheet is available in English. Please see below.
